Dakar Women's Group

Welcome to the Dakar Women’s Group. We are a dynamic group of 200+ members from 55 different countries. We have come together to make friends, have fun, discover Senegal and its people, and above all, to give to charity.

We help newcomers adapt and integrate to the Dakar lifestyle and we meet at least once a month through our monthly meetings, visits, activities, and special events. We also offer over many weekly activities through our "Clubs and Classes", anything from golf to beading, and language conversation groups to computer classes.

We send weekly emails and a monthly newsletter to keep you current and keep us all connected. We make available a list of household help recommended by our members who have left.

We also have the only comprehensive English Guidebook with information on where to find just about anything in Dakar.

For those of you women that are working full-time while in Dakar, we also provide a club called the "Dakar Working Women's Group", where working members have a chance to stay further connected with the DWG.

In the Dakar Women's Group, there’s something for everyone.
